Nei Gong (Qi Gong) Sets
Core Exercise #1 - Opening the Energy Gates of Your Body
This set contains the core of our entire system. The set begins with the standing and dissolving practice which increases awareness of the body’s natural alignments and clears out energetic blockages which bind the physical body.
The body unification and waist loosening exercises known as Cloud Hands and The Three Swings are a crucial part of developing hip and waist flexibility, leg stretching and knee stability which are the basis for safe and effective long-term practice.
The final stage of Energy Gates is the Spine Stretch. This movement open each individual vertebra of the spine which allows for maximum stretching without the danger of pulling a muscle. The Spine Stretch is also the basis for the later spinal chi gung practices taught in more advanced sets.
This is an excellent set for beginners and intermediate students alike.

Core Exercise #2 - Spiraling Nei Gong
The second set in the system uses the same physical movements as Energy Gates but focuses primarily on the movement of energy within the body not on the physical mechanics. Spiraling also incorporates a vast number of standing postures where the arms are held up in the air and the eyes are open. It works with the acceding chi flows as well as external dissolving of energy from external sources like other people or other living things. Spiraling also works to integrate all of the energy gates into one cohesive unit.
It works with the energy of the heart and the fire element. It is highly recommended that people have experience with downward dissolving before working with Spiraling.

Core Exercise #3 - The Marriage of Heaven and Earth
The third set in the system known as The Marriage of Heaven and Earth focuses on three main Nei Gong skills, pulsing the joints and cavities of the body, lengthening soft tissues and moving chi along the yin and yang meridians of the body. This set work directly with the energy of the liver and the wood element. It is a key component of all internal martial arts and is especially useful in learning to project internal energy for martial arts or healing.
Pulsing the joints and cavities of the body is a powerful technique for moving fluids within the body and is an excellent method of relieving joint pain. It begins by moving the external body to get the joints and cavities to open and later progresses to the ability to pulse without external muscle movement.
Lengthening the soft tissues gently stretches the body from the inside out, removing any bound tissue which frees up the soft tissue that connects joints of the body, internal organs and allows for smooth transitions between movements.
Moving energy along the yin and yang chi meridians is key for maintaining a healthy body and dramatically increases the sensitivity of the the practitioner.

Core Exercise #4 - Bend the Bow, Shoot the Arrow
The fourth set in the Nei Gong system works directly with spine and the energy that flows through it. In Bend the Bow the practitioner learns to move each individual vertebrae independently and how to pump the spinal fluids. Initially the pumping is done with the entire spine bowing in a “C” curve which releases tension in the spine and improves the signals from the central nervous system.
Later through various hand and arm positions one can target specific locations on the spine. This works to release blocked vertebrae and to balance the left and right sides of the body. It is extremely useful for scoliosis and other spine conditions. It is also excellent for respiratory problems as well. This set works with the energy of the lungs and metal element.
It is recommended, but not required that one have a basic knowledge of the Heaven and Earth material before learning Bend the Bow.

Core Exercise #5 - Gods Playing in the Clouds
The fifth and final set in our Nei Gong system combines elements of all the previous sets and works to integrate them into the body. This set works with the energy of the spleen and the earth element. The initial goal of gods is to integrate and balance the entire Nei Gung system into one set. Later it begins to bridge the gap between Nei Gung and Meditation by working with the connection of the physical body and the emotions.
