"Whenever I have a question about training neigong, especially for the martial arts, I look to Isaac for clear, actionable explanations."

"Prior to meeting Isaac, I had about 20 years of formal training and practice in karate, judo, jiu jitsu, wrestling, and tae kwon do. Injuries forced me to quit these practices, and I eventually found Bruce Frantzis and Isaac Kamins on the internet. Isaac teaches locally, and I've now been training with him for about 5 years.
Isaac is an outstanding teacher of Chinese martial arts and nei gung. He has extensive and deep knowledge of these arts, as well as Chinese history and culture. Classes emphasize proper form and posture, profound relaxation, avoidance of injury, healing of prior injuries, and for those so inclined, martial power. Isaac expertly teaches the challenging nuances and energetics of nei gung, and is equally effective in teaching martial arts. Isaac is one of the most capable martial artists that I've ever worked with, but is great with students at all levels . Isaac is able to break down abstract physical and mental concepts, and bring students along at an appropriate pace. Lastly, classes are very reasonably priced, and freeway access and parking are good (better than most areas in San Francisco)."

"As a former professional tennis player and coach I have traveled internationally and interacted with a lot of different people. Experience has shown me that three things are needed reach the level of art in any endeavor. Skill, talent, and heart; not necessarily in that order.
Isaac Kamins possesses that rare mix of all three, and it has allowed him to go deep into the complex and subtle nature of nei gung and internal martial arts training. His skills far and wide come from the best in the business. His love of nei gung and marital arts is awesome and spans more than twenty years, and his talent is very physically evident. He is in the truest sense an internal martial artist. It is his love and soul commitment to the internal arts that makes him one of this generations best practitioners."

"I have been training with Isaac and Jess for three years now. In my experience, out of all of Kumars students, Isaac and Jess have one of the most practical approaches to understanding and quickly learning this system. Their manner of teaching is pragmatic, hands on and martial with a fun attitude. It is rare to find people who can both demonstrate the subtleties of this art along with competence in martial applications. Isaac is straightforward. Jess is very understanding. I would recommend these two to anyone who is interested is having a strong grasp of the fundamentals. For those looking to learn tai chi, hsing-i, ba gua or chi gung, Jess and Isaac are both exceptional teachers."

"I would describe the work Isaac does as teaching your body a foreign language. Success requires persistence and attention to detail, along with the occasional glimpse of what is possible with fluency. Isaac brings remarkable patience and a great depth of experience to the process, which has been radically transformative to my own physical health and peace of mind."

"I can honestly say studying the Taoist internal arts with Isaac & Jess has probably saved my life in several situations. From a sprained neck, fixing and maintaining carpal tunnel and tendonitis, overall whole body health, and some real tangible steps for working on a lifetime problem of scoliosis. He also has helped me gain a bit of martial confidence and strength that helped me navigate some dangerous situations. I remember feeling more relaxed than I ever had in my entire life after my first energy gates workshop, I was hooked ever since. I highly recommend Isaac as a teacher to anyone, down to earth and very much himself. A owe a debt of gratitude to a great teacher and friend."

"I've worked with Isaac repeatedly over a number of years in Hsing-yi, Bagua, and some Tai Chi. He has always been clear, knowledgable, and hands on in his teaching methods as well as being very honest and inexpensive for the value given. I highly recommend him as a teacher."

I first met Isaac Kamins when he was 19 years old. At that time I was a 35 year old Kung Fu Bum having spent the last 6 years training 8 to 12 hours a day. Isaac and I partnered up in a two man drill in a Eight Drunken Immortals class being given in Marin by B. K. Franztis. Crossing hands with Isaac on that day in Kumar's Eight Drunken Immortals class, I immediately tried tossing this "big kid" with a simple judo throw, but my move was easily countered. I knew right then, that this was going to be one of the guys I was going be training with. And that is how it was.
Isaac continued training in one comprehensive system; while I continued to drift around like a leaf on the wind .
And now, when I want to examine the gaps in my training, one of the first people I go to is Isaac Kamins.

Isaac is a rare specimen of a teacher. He has a greater knowledge and ability than any other martial artists I've met, which comes from a deep understanding of internal energy. On top of that, he can communicate clearly and has a true desire to help his students learn and succeed.
Jess has an incredible natural disposition for martial arts. His indomitable enthusiasm, determinism and raw natural talent underscore his teachings. Like Isaac, he cares deeply about the people he is teaching and motivates them to train hard.
